With roots from 1950

Already in 1950, Fondsfinans was founded, and was long regarded as the leading brokerage firm in Norway.

Fondsfinans Kapitalforvaltning established its first fund in 2000, and since then the fund selection has grown to 10 different funds, winning numerous awards and accolades.

The company is solely owned by Must AS.

A brokerage firm is born

Fondsfinans AS is established

1967

Norway’s first equity fund

Fondsfinans, Tennant and Kierulf establishes Norway’s first equity fund; Avanse.

Erik Must joins the board of Avanse in 1972. Fondsfinans later becomes the sole owner of the management company through acquisition, before bringing in a number of savings banks as shareholders.

Through significantly broader distribution, Avanse becomes Norway’s largest and leading fund management company. DNB merges with Sparebanken Oslo Akershus, demerges Fondsfinans and becomes the sole owner of Avanse.

1972

New owners

Erik Must and Kjell Chr. Ulrichsen take over Fondsfinans. The brokerage firm played a leading role in developing a modern securities market in Norway

1997

Fondsfinans Kapitalforvaltning on its own

Following the demerger from Avanse Forvaltning, Fondsfinans Kapitalforvaltning AS is established as an independent entity and begins active management.

2000

First fund established

On the 4th of April, the first fund is created (a balanced fund, today known as Fondsfinans Aktiv 60/40). The equity fund Fondsfinans Global Helse launches a few months later on June 27.

2002

Fondsfinans Norge is established

2013-2021

A broader fund selection

The fund range expands significantly with Fondsfinans Norden Utbytte, Fondsfinans Utbytte, Fondsfinans Kreditt, Fondsfinans High Yield, Fondsfinans Obligasjon and Fondsfinans Fornybar Energi

2024

Fondsfinans Global Utbytte is launched

The successful management strategy from Fondsfinans Utbytte and Fondsfinans Norden Utbytte is extended into a global investment universe with a new fund, Fondsfinans Global Utbytte.

2025

Fondsfinans Likviditet is launched

Fondsfinans Kapitalforvaltning has established itself with over 20 billion NOK in assets under management. In October we launched our new fund, Fondsfinans Likviditet, offering investors an attractive alternative between bank deposits and bond funds
