The investment research team at Fondsfinans covers all the most important companies listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in addition to the vast majority of companies being represented by fixed income issues. This which involves producing regular research reports on 81 companies which represents 95% of the market capitalisation of OSEBX, the Oslo Benchmark Index. The team is made up of 12 highly qualified investment analysts with a diverse range of technical specialities and career experience from both the finance sector and industry. Five of the department's analysts follow energy-related and shipping companies, while the other analysts follow IT/telecommunications, renewable energy, industrials, aquaculture, biotechnology and the finance sector. A number of the analysts have been very highly placed in various reviews of analyst performance over recent years.

In addition to publishing research reports, the research department organises annual conferences for the fertiliser sector and the Nordic renewable energy sector. The analysts conduct numerous company visits and arrange road shows over the course of the year.
